Handy pre- or post-match option in central Harrogate: the pub serves food daily (Mon–Sat 12:00–21:00; Sun to early evening), so you can get a proper meal around kick-off. It pours well-kept Yorkshire cask ales (including Daleside Mucky Duck Bitter, Timothy Taylor Landlord and Ossett Blonde), which are popular on matchdays. It’s also practical for travelling supporters: WhatPub notes it’s close to bus routes and roughly 750m from Harrogate railway station, making it easy to get to/from the EnviroVent Stadium area via public transport. You can also reserve tables online, useful for busy fixtures.
Love it here. Only recently discovered, it's a proper friendly pub. No annoying music or TVs just nice drinks and great food. Staff are always friendly and so are the customers. I'd happily drop on on my own for a drink or take the family for a meal. Couple of top tier veggie/vegan pies. My sister had a steak one that was packed with good meat and dad went for Homity Pie with onion sauce. I had the vegan mushroom suet pie (see pic) and the crust was superb. Different gravys for different pies is a really nice touch. There's a big paved outdoor area for the summer with plenty of seating. Happily added to our list of regular places, well worth a visit 👍
We had a fantastic meal here yesterday. I had the chicken leek and tarragon pie, my wife had the pork loin chops with cheesy bubble and squeak. Both were amazing - has to be one of the best pies I've had. Good selection of well kept beers too and the staff were great - even brought a bowl of water for the dogs. The pub itself is really cosy, clean and welcoming. Looking forward to going back to try the steak and ale pie.
A great pub with welcoming staff & a lovely chilled atmosphere. I ordered a chicken & tarragon pie with mash (choice of chips) which was SUPERB. All the pies are homemade and done in house. Really high level quality & the sauce was beautiful. Lovely point of Landlord to compliment it.
Friendly, welcoming traditional pub on the outskirts of the town centre. Good range of sandwiches served with fresh homemade chips; we had the streak and the ham/eggs, both ample portions for lunch. Well-kept pint of Taylor's Landlord among a good selection of cask ales. We're already planning a return visit to try the Sunday lunch, which sounds excellent. Warmly attentive service. Unpretentious but well-maintained establishment, well worth seeking out on a visit to Harrogate.
Ashley and the team were exceptional from the moment of booking. We enjoyed a warm welcome, excellent service and an exceptional Sunday Roast!! Including a delicious veggie option!
