📍 1.0 miles from EnviroVent Stadium
Central Harrogate spot that shows major matches — e.g., they promoted watch-parties for England’s Lionesses — so you can watch live football pre/post game. It’s a short walk from Harrogate railway station and close to bus routes, making it handy for both home and visiting supporters getting to/from the EnviroVent Stadium (bus 7 runs from the bus station by the rail station to the ground). They serve hot food (pizza, noodles, antipasti) throughout opening hours, so you can eat without leaving your table on matchdays. A rotating line-up of Yorkshire cask ales alongside familiar keg options means groups with mixed tastes are catered for. First-come seating for big games and family-friendly vibes reinforce it as a neutral, town-centre meeting point on matchdays.
This is one of my favourite pubs of all time. I think the landlady has been here around 7 years & she has done an amazing job. It's consistently good every time I visit. Really good choice of well kept ale & a fantastic range of bar snacks as well as pizza etc. Really good beer garden, brilliant lighting, music, board games, decor & sharp service. It appeals to all ages & is well worth seeking out in the back streets. If I lived near here I'd be there all the time.
I have spent quite a bit of time here, whilst working in Harrogate this year. Wide selection of beers well looked after. Student style pizza offering commendable effort, but no hand thrown neopols. Is what it is. Pub quiz host on Wednesdays great engaging fun. Fast Show folk music night on Tuesday. Staff are really friendly and 2 nice outdoor areas in summer. Go here sometime.
The Tap is a great local pub. Always a great atmosphere. Good for all ages. The food is a simple menu, pizzas in the evening and some light bites. But good quality and great value.
Food a choice of pizzas or flatbread. The latter supplemented by crisps in a bag...old style with a choice of salts to add the flavour that you could shake on. Good beer selection which as I was driving I didn't touch. Reason to go back! Service was friendly and efficient. Others I was with enjoyed the beer. So worth a visit
Making my first ever visit to this CAMRA Good Beer Guide regular with Jorvic and Casta. Throw in a Cask Marque as well. Five real ales available on our visit with a couple waiting to go on. Jorvic chose the ever reliable Boltmaker. A Timothy Taylor's best bitter. Super pub wraps round the central bar. Large front patio on a reasonably quiet side street opposite the Travel Lodge. Another rear beer patio.
