City-centre Irish bar with big screens showing sport, so you can watch televised football before or after the match. It also lists “Live Weekly Sport” in its events, indicating regular screenings. It’s a short walk from Harrogate railway station (around 400m), handy for away-day travel. Matchday budgets benefit from offers like 2-for-1 draught on Fridays and its much-talked-about bottomless Guinness brunch option, giving groups a clear pre- or post-game meet-up spot.
Popped in to meet an old friend. The place was so lovely, decided to stop for a snack... Which turned into a full steak lunch! Lovely steak, perfectly cooked, and the chunky chips were to die for (as was the cheesy garlic mushrooms honestly!) Service with a friendly smile from the manager from walking in the door! I've not been in since it was LAST the P&P....that was years ago. But I'll be back again very soon!!
Popped in for a drink, stayed for lunch (and eventually dinner too!). I had a fantastic chicken burger and then had some of their small plates later on. All delicious! Friendly staff and a great location actually.
Three of us had lunch on Friday 13th February 2026. Firstly, it is good to see Pitcher and Piano back in Harrogate! Secondly, the service was outstanding and attentive from the sole young waitress on duty. However, as the place got busier, the Manager Anneka stepped in and made a point of checking in with us about our experience. The food - 5 sharing plates "Tapas" style was excellent with only the Arrancini balls lacking a bit of seasoning. The other dishes were flavoursome and served hot. Excellent Rose wine at a reasonable price. My wife and I regularly frequented the "old" Pitcher and Piano over many years but never the "Irish" pub which replaced it. Excellent and well done. We will be back. Consider offering an optional Service Charge to reward good/excellent service. Did not understand the "value proposition" of the "Bottomless Bruch" - unlimited drinks with food? No brunch dishes served separately from this offer?
The environment was nice and cozy. We got a lovely window seat to see the cute cobblestreet. There were so many food options available (especially as one of the party cannot have dairy and another can't eat dairy or eggs) and something for everyone. A lovely lady asked if we wanted table service or wanted to order through the app, which was nice to have an option. And the waiter was super friendly since we sat down. The food was good, everyone was happy and the pricing is good for the quality of food. The one downfall was that the drinks took forever to arrive. Normally I would have put it down to the busy Saturday lunch time, however there were only two waiters and a solo person on the bar which slowed everything down. Other than that it was a lovely place and if I ever return to Harrogate, I'll definitely visit again.
Casey was an absolutely wonderful bar tender and mixologist. Incredible service 🙇🏻♀️ The best espresso martini and margarita that we’ve ever had 🩷 DJ also also amazing music 👏🏼
