Really good experience , varied menu , wide choice of food available, excellent drinks. We enjoyed our food and the service was excellent. Large comfortable restaurant with great views outside . A great experience and would highly recommend eating here. It's situated inside a hotel so rooms are available , lovely heated patio area which was very busy on an extremely cold January day. Large bar area as well as the restaurant which was very lively and welcoming. Staff were excellent, very good service, friendly and welcoming.
We all had a really good meal here. We had two dogs with us, so sat outside and found a table in the shade easily within 10 minutes of arriving. It’s scan and order at the table, that worked ok for us this meal, although I prefer service for any questions you may have. Food came quickly, was good and staff were friendly. It was busy at the outside tables which gave a buzz to the atmosphere. You cannot book if you have dogs, but we knew this as their booing makes this clear.
I don’t know if there has been a change of chef, but the food we were served was nothing like the photo reviews here. My burger did not seem fresh - patty seemed processed - probably from frozen. The fries were stuck together in a ball. £45 for two mains and two cokes. Shame as the place looked nice.
Absolutely brilliant on all counts. Great gasto-pub. Love the theme, the atmosphere. Great location, the seating outside is perfect. We had two dogs with us and they're more than welcome outside. Umbrellas and good heaters to keep you warm when the weather is a little less than ideal. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was brilliant! We ended up eating at The Fat Badger in York as well 2 days later because we loved it so much. Both locations were equally as good! When we're next in the area we'll definitely eat here. Thoroughly recommend. Even parking on site! (Although a little more expensive than in town, but for the convenience totally worth it! )
Great restaurant with amazing food and service, if ur hungry u definitely should order a roast on Sunday! An unforgettable experience, cheers!
