📍 1.1 miles from EnviroVent Stadium
In Harrogate town centre (HG1 1NS), The Den is an independent sports bar with two giant projectors and multiple TVs, so match action is easy to see throughout the venue. Listings note regular live football, including Premier League games, and the bar advertises major live sport screenings. It serves match-friendly food (burgers, loaded fries, etc.) with daytime hours on Saturdays and Sundays, useful for pre- and post-match. Club and fan guides highlight that Harrogate railway station is the nearest stop for the EnviroVent Stadium (around a 20-minute walk to the ground), making a central pub like The Den convenient for rail travellers. Crucially, local guidance says The Den welcomes both home and away supporters, making it a neutral, hassle-free spot to meet before heading to the match.
Lovely bar, ideal place for the 20 - 30 yrs old to visit. Low score for atmosphere as visited on a Thursday, early evening so empty. Doesn't detract from the place though.
Me and my friends have been coming to the den for a long time now, and every time the lovely staff on the doors (including the wonderful Tory!) have made us feel welcome and safe. Especially when it’s just a girls night out, it’s really appreciated. All the staff running the show inside have much the same morals, and politeness has always been reciprocated 10x more! Great venue, made so much better by amazing staff! The local musicians aren’t too bad either :)
Was over visiting and sampled the music in all the bars (with the exception of the blues bars) - the Den had the best live music by a country mile. Had popped out during the bands break to see what else Harrogate had to offer, however I found myself coming back for the second half of their set after hearing how abysmal the other bars were... But I found myself pushed back by a female bouncer.... At 11pm? I'm in the industry myself and have been for 10+ years, so it seemed very strange to turn away custom (from a pretty much empty bar) at 11pm... And for context, I wasn't drunk or disorderly, kept myself to myself. Just a shame a lovely night had to end early. Might be worth addressing your cut off times in future.
Popped in with a few old friends (a bit of a reunion). Good selection of drinks served by friendly staff. We ordered some food, bits and pieces of snacks - served piping hot and very tasty. Drinks and food are cracking value for money. An artist was performing some brilliant covers - an acoustic performance that added to the atmosphere. Will return next time we are in Harrogate
Loved this venue. Good beers and really good acts. Staff were great and we had a brilliant time Edit: The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because we didn't try any food. We will next time
