I eat regularly here, always lunchtimes.. the food is good, hot and just what I ordered. Bar service is fine, sometimes there is a queue but you can wait anywhere you go !!!! All the staff here work hard and its never a long wait ( if any ) the girls i have come to know here like Louise and Trina are so good and definitely keepers. I enjoy it here and what more can you ask for ???
Women's at the bar couldn't put my order on till and said pick another table as the numbers don't work but the only two tables vacant didn't have numbers on, took her ages, i had to get the last train to Weymouth from Yeovil penmill so couldn't mess around like that, yet the train was cancelled as usual these days & paid £99 for taxi to Weymouth, she kept asking other staff what to do, Christmas music was blasting out which iv heard for last 50+ years, change the record, some meals cost less than the 2 pm to 5 pm afternoon deal, vegetarian sausages chips beans £5 + . This William dampier is handy for breakfast before getting buses from the bus station if it's still next door as half of Yeovil town as been demolished,
This pub was conveniently located on my cycle route to Glastonbury and the staff there was fantastic! Everyone was pleasantly smiling even though I wasn't the easiest customer as I spilled coffee there, they were quick to sort it out for me. Also I ordered 3 small plates that turned up much bigger than I expected. I asked if they had a doggy bag and although they didn't have it the lady prepared a foil for me so I could take it with me. This turned out to be a life saver as the train I took got stuck in the middle of nowhere for over 3h and the food came so handy for me as well as the fellow passengers! Thank you so much!
As an American Wetherspoon is the best place to eat when on vacation. Food was cheap, good, and they were everywhere so there was no guessing at if a touristy place was worth it.
Don't bother, cold food waited over 30 mins dirty cutlery. Gone down hill won't be back. Thanks for ruining my date night.
