Attended for my grandads wake, place seemed a little run down, bar in good need of a strip out and re fit and the GM could have been friendlier, more than 1 attendee mentioned her rudeness. Food however was fresh and tasty, can't complain there.
Check in is all done by phone so make sure you have charged it or you won't get the details they send. No breakfast available. Room was very clean and ideal with complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a couple of biscuits
Venue was an ideal place for a wake. Meg was very attentive to detail and prepared plenty of home cooked food. The cakes were particularly delicious and complimented on by many.|We would have preferred the tea cups and also teapots to be placed on the tables where people were sitting rather than having to make individual cups of tea where the buffet was .Many people were elderly and found it difficult to make and carry tea and food from the buffet area back to their tables. Hopefully this is a helpful suggestion.|Otherwise we would like to thank Meg for helping make the day run smoothly.
We hired the Preston for my Dads wake which was so close to the Yeovil Crematorium. it was absolutely perfect and the food was first class. The manager makes all the food from scratch and they have 5 star rating for food for a reason. We decided to have a memory table and she went to a lot of effort to make it a beautful display for my Dad. I highly recommend booking here, it was perfect.
Great stay while away for business. Large clean room, very attentive for check in and Great value. I would try here first next time I'm back for work.
