What can I say about the carvery, we have been several times and todays topped every time. The beef was perfectly cooked rare, everyone in our party cleared their plate. They even have an offer of a free dessert, what more can you ask for. Big thank you to the wonderful and friendly staff. We will see you next week!

I had an amazing meal at The Red House and couldn’t fault the experience. The front-of-house staff were friendly, welcoming, and really accommodating, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. I went for the butcher’s board, and it was absolutely spot on! A great selection of meats, cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and really well presented. Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and high quality. It’s clear a lot of care goes into the food here. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, and the whole experience felt unrushed. After seeing that they also offer a carvery, that’s 100% what we’ll be going for next time. Highly recommend - we’ll definitely be back soon.
Worst roast dinner ever had to pay for the roast before hand which says it all really and wasn’t told there was any vegetables available so litterally got a plate of slodge customer service was rude will not be returning potatoes were greasy as well had to wait for frozen peas to be cooked !!! Food presentation was absolutely poor
The last review from Ella Marshall is totally unfair. The pub had ran out of cauliflower cheese, however the there was peas, fresh parsnips, fresh carrots, red cabbage , cheese sauce and roast potatoes. Ella reviewed that the presentation on the plate was absolutely poor, it’s a carvery so the customer puts the food on the plate. The fact about frozen peas was completely untrue. There were plenty of choice of vegetables, however if you only eat cauliflower cheese. The staff at the pub were very apologetic and offered a free desert which Ella refused. The staff at The Red House go above and beyond to give a quality and friendly service. This review or shall I say reviews from Ella (3 in total) are very damaging. I don’t know if you are aware of how hard the hospitality sector is especially for small family businesses. The hospitality industry, particularly in the UK, is facing a severe crisis with many businesses struggling to survive. Roughly one-third of businesses are currently operating at a loss due to a toxic mix of high energy costs, rising food and drink prices, and increased labor costs, with many owners fearing permanent closure. Soaring Costs: Dramatic rises in energy bills and food costs. High Debt & Taxes: Increased employer National Insurance contributions and business rate changes have put immense pressure on margins. Reduced Consumer Spending: The cost-of-living crisis means customers have less disposable income to spend on eating out or entertainment. Staffing Shortages: Many businesses are struggling to recruit, coupled with reduced staff hours to manage costs. Closure Rates: There has been a significant decrease in the number of licensed premises, with over 100,000 jobs potentially at risk.
