We had my Dads 80th birthday luncheon at The Pen Mill hotel on Saturday. The communication before the event, as we had 16 people attend was superb. We went before hand to see the area we would be in. Superb helpful staff. On the day, there were no errors, or problems. All the food was spot on, cooked to perfection. Can not fault them at all. Amazing organised staff system in place. Thanks to all especially Tom, Lucy & the other great staff.. Highly recommend, the food was lush
I've been before and had some nice meals here. This time, I went for a lunchtime meet-up with friends. It was disappointing that nearly everything on the snack menu involved some sort of cheese! There was more choice, without cheese, on the lunchtime menu but I didn't want a large meal. £1 Extra for a GF roll seems a bit much too.
We went for Easter Sunday Roast Dinner with my mum who is 87. The staff were amazing and couldn’t be more helpful or nicer. The food was first class and the carvery meat was amazing, so tender and moist and lovely portion. Even the young blonde trainee was so attentive and very polite. My mum lives just outside Yeovil and was so impressed is coming back in a few weeks time.
The hotel is interesting with full amenities. The hotel is cosy and warm. The buffet breakfast is fantastic and the Hollandise eggs was awesome.
We went to the restaurant for my 60th birthday....we had a lovely welcome, excellent menu, the food came piping hot on hot plates and tasted wonderful. But what made it very special were the staff....they went above and beyond, helpful, interacted with us, nothing was to much trouble...sang a very good rendition of happy birthday. Will certainly go back even though we are from Devon. Thank you to you all for making my day very special
