We went in at passed 2pm, thinking we wouldn’t get a table as it was Sunday Lunchtime. Met by Darrel, wow what a lovely guy, warm welcome, shown through to a busy restaurant area. Guided us through menu choices, asked if we’d like a drink while looking at the menus, lots of banter, so very friendly and a credit to your pub. Nothing was written down, all done by memory, nothing got wrong either, have no idea how he remembers everything.. Had Roast Turkey, Roast Lamb, some of the best pub food we’ve ever eaten. No overcooked or soggy veg, lovely roasted parsnips/carrots. Tender Turkey & the Lamb was good also. Perfect spuds & a Yorkshire pud the size of the plate. We normally don’t have puddings. But we did. I cannot rate this highly enough and please don’t ever lose Darrel. He makes this extra special and nothing is too much trouble for him. Definitely be back. 10/10. So nice to see a pub chain get this so absolutely right.
One of the best Sunday roasts we’ve ever had! Huge Yorkshire pudding, crispy roast potatoes and it came with everything you’d want (including cauliflower cheese and squash). The restaurant had amazing, friendly and speedy service! Definitely recommend when you visit Yeovil, especially when the restaurant is right next door to the Country Park!
Went to Coopers Mill for my birthday Sunday roast dinner, and received a lovely surprise. Very kind, thoughtful, and generous of the team, thank you! The roast dinner was absolutely fantastic value for money and delicious, fresh, and plentiful. All the staff were friendly, patient, and genuinely happy to help. I'll be back again soon. Thank you Darral and team.
Stopped by after a late afternoon dog walk for a drink and some food. They normally had dog biscuits available at the pub but had sadly ran out, so we did what any dog owner would do and ordered our pooch a kids meal to go along with our own so he wouldn't go hungry. The staff caught on to this and diced up the food into bite size chunks and put it in a dog bowl for him, gravy and all. He absolutely loved it and licked the bowl clean! 10/10 from the staff and chef
Not overly impressed. One server was friendly and helpful, the other seemed uninterested. Food was expensive for what you got. Hunters chicken was the smallest I've ever had and the bacon was mostly fat. Nice atmosphere overall though. There was a separate sports bar type area if you're so inclined but you could also avoid it if you wanted. It seemed fairly quiet but our food took a very long time to arrive for some reason. I'd almost certainly try somewhere else if we were in the area again though.
