Delightful meal out before going to the theatre. As usual the food was generous and delicious. While one of the dishes was to be served with mash, it was no trouble to change to chips. They even checked if the second dish required and changes. A nice touch. Being early on Saturday evening The Wheatsheaf was busy but not too busy. The service was quiet and efficient. We come to The Wheatsheaf monthly and always enjoy the meal and ambience. Highly recommend.

The Thursday Quiz had a great atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves — and we even won! Liv, the quiz master, was brilliant and made the whole evening really fun. We will be back:) The Slags:)

Scarlett is the best quiz host🤍 We always have a lovely time, she makes us feel very welcome and like we have a chance of winning, even though we never do! Our favourite quiz 10/10.

I didn't stay in the hotel. However we visit often for the food, quiz and warm, friendly, cozy environment of the pub. The staff are so welcoming, helpful and smiley. I get a general feeling that they enjoy their work together. Food is great and very well priced. Scarlett is a brilliant Quiz master!!! She's super friendly and helpful.
