Had a great evening at The Red Lion! The atmosphere was lively and friendly, and the pub quiz was a lot of fun with a good mix of questions. The staff were welcoming, the drinks were well-priced, and the food hit the spot. A lovely local pub that makes you want to come back!
The food is delicious at the red lion Horsell! i was surprised at how tasty the gourmet burger and chips was! Explosions of taste all in one bun! The steak dishes are also very nice- rich flavour and delightful sauces. I tried all 3 dishes- fillet, ribeye and burger. Hands down the burger wins for me! I recommend choosing the gourmet burger for dinner and lunch! It’s scrumptious at any time of the day. It’s the perfect blend of crispy and soft. Perfect for elderly to chew through too for a beef based dish :) Will be returning for 3 burgers! The staff are very friendly and attentive too! Lovely place, looking forward to our next visit!
Visited on a rainy Tuesday mid-afternoon and the Red Lion team brought the sunshine! Upon asking about wheelchair access, one of the team went to the patio doors and had the ramp ready for us and waited while we got out of our vehicle and made our way to the door and entered the restaurant area. Seated us at a very convenient table and were quick to offer drinks and menus while we soaked up the beautiful environment and atmosphere. The menu offered lots of choice as well as the specials board which we were impressed with as many places don't do specials early in the week. Drinks and food arrived in a very timely manner and were excellent. The team were attentive but not intrusive and we really appreciated their help with access. Overall, a fantastic experience and we'll definitely be coming back! Thank-you!
We booked a table at The Red Lion for Sunday lunch and had a fantastic experience. We went for the two-course menu (£25) and chose desserts instead of starters. All the roast options beef, lamb, chicken, pork, etc. were beautifully cooked and full of flavour. The vegetables came out separately, which was a nice touch and meant everything stayed fresh and hot. For dessert, we had the banoffee sundae and hazelnut doughnuts, both of which were delicious and a perfect end to the meal. A special shout out to Frankie, our server, who was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Highly recommend for a quality Sunday roast!
