Stunning venue, delicious food, impeccable service. The Gosling hosted my 70th celebration lunch in their private dining room The Lodge. Every aspect of my event was impeccable. Attentive communication with Fran throughout, and full compliments to Henry our dedicated waiter and the chefs on the day. The Lodge room looked stunning with its unique colourful artworks, and beautiful table laid for our large party of 21, complete with our place settings, high chair, magician table, and disabled ramp just as l'd asked. My beautiful tropical floral arrangements were created by their recommended florist Flower to the People. I was able bring in my own cake, a magnificent flamboyant creation by Speciality Cakes. Henry our dedicated waiter was friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout. He ensured our drinks were flowing, food delivered on time, and table cleared swiftly between courses. Our pre selected meals were beautifully presented, of high quantity, hot and delicious and enjoyed by all guests. To summarise my event ran like clockwork, to a very high standard and made my celebration a wonderful day to treasure and remember. We would love to return for a meal or cocktail sometime, and | just need another excuse for The Gosling to host
This was our first visit to the gosling and it certainly won’t be the last. Lobster crumpet and crispy lamb shoulder to start was beautiful. Chateaubriand to share for our main course, enormous portion which was masterfully cooked to perfection. Cocktails are phenomenal, highly recommend the lychee martini. A birthday treat was bought out which was very kind. Highly recommend the gosling in every way.
Enjoyed a fabulous dinner with friends last night. The things you always want in excellent dining - fabulous tasty food, genuinely friendly and professional staff, topped off with a warm, cosy atmosphere. Wonderful. Ya gotta have the lobster crumpet! Thanks all. We'll be back 😁🙌
I hosted my birthday meal there last night in the Woodlark room. Honestly I cannot thank the gosling enough. I had heard great things, but they exceeded my expectations in every way! From the start of planning with Fran, who was soooo helpful and quick to reply to every email - she made it so easy and stress free for me to plan. Then all the staff on the night making it special and being so lovely and attentive to us all. Our waiter who looked after us (I do apologise I forgot his name after a few wines!) but he was just amazing and looked after us so well. The food was also INCREDIBLE! Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better night. Will 100% be hosting all future dinners and celebrations here.
We celebrated our daughter’s Baptism at The Gosling today, and I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough. From start to finish, the service was absolutely incredible. The staff were warm, attentive and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly for our party of 16 adults and 6 children. We had the private room, The Lodge, which was perfect — beautifully set up, comfortable, and ideal for a family celebration. The waiters were fantastic: friendly, professional and so patient with the children (I wish I’d asked for their names!). The food was delicious — every dish came out perfectly cooked and beautifully presented, and everyone commented on how good it was (the sea bass and BBQ chicken in particular!) It was such a wonderful experience and made our daughter’s special day even more memorable. I’d 100% recommend The Gosling for any occasion — the team there truly made it perfect for us.
