We visited tonight (Halloween) 🎃. We had a lovely time! The decor was ghouly and great!, food was fantastic, great tasting and wonderful presentation for the Halloween theme! The cheese balls starter were my favourite, however everything was easily a 10/10! Would definitely love to come for more themed set menus and see what you do with the decor as looks so lovely and really adds to the vibe and ambience! George was especially great! Very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Looking forward to visiting again soon 👻.
The Cricketers in Woking is a great venue for a birthday, especially if you want something lively and easy to enjoy. It’s a good setup for parties, with a relaxed feel that makes it easy for guests to get involved and enjoy the night. We had our Selfie Pod and Karaoke setup from Surrey FaceBooth there, both of which fit straight in and kept guests entertained all night with photos, prints, and plenty of singing. If you’re planning a birthday at The Cricketers Woking, it’s a great choice and works really well with our photo booth and karaoke setup.
Lovely traditional English pub with great atmosphere. Offers Sunday roasts: turkey, chicken, beef, pork vegetarian etc. Lots of help yourself vegetables (carrots, broccoli, parsnips, great roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage etc with stuffing roulade wrapped in streaky bacon etc taking it to a step above standard pub fayre. Also, I asked passing waitress if I could have some gravy to warm up my food. There was no problem and a small jug of it was promptly provided - great service. The process is you pay for your meal and when at a table you are given a plastic ticket so can collect your dinner. I assume this is to keep down the customer food-queue at the entrance. The only things that made it less than perfect was that the food didn’t seem very hot and the pub seemed quite dark on a Sunday afternoon. However, very pleasant find.
So good we came here again the second day too!!! Not from the area and originally chose here as it has a play park for the kids but was seriously impressed with the food to, so we came back again for the second night of our stay to! Whilst we were away with the kids the place definitely had that weekend vibe with a mix of tables of young families and people out for the night enjoying the weekend sun, we left by 7pm and was heaving by then. If we were local am sure we would become regulars.
Lovely food and excellent service particularly by a young lady who I didn’t get the name but had some tattoos on her arm. She was very professional and super welcoming. Nice menu that also caters well for vegetarians. Recommend the ribs which were tender and the portions were big overall. Nice selection of drinks and decent wine list. Thank you !!
