Nice real ale pub located near The Shay Stadium. Good selection of beers and quite pleasant inside. It can be busy, especially if there is a game on at The Shay. I was in there before the recent Halifax Town v Borehamwood game. A big shout out to the one person behind the bar. He worked tirelessly to get people served. Poor on the management for only having him behind the bar. All said though, it is a good real ale pub πŸ‘

A beautiful pub, Art deco grade 2 listed building. Totally unspoilt a must if visiting Halifax. 4 cask Ossett beers, plus guests beers. Cold snacks available. Plenty parking and a stones throw from the train station.

Both Madge and I making our first visit here. The pub is a short walk from the town centre and railway station. Busy on our visit as the rugby had recently finished at nearby Shay Stadium. ( been there three times but many years ago.) A super Ossett brewery pub with multiple rooms and outdoor drinking area. Had a couple of pints of their Butterly 3.8% bitter. A lovely art deco original interior is well maintained. In the 2025 CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Six handpumps, two guest ales on our visit. Madge loved it. Proper pub.

Excellent pub. Me and my friend are from Merseyside and we went for a few imbibements on the day/ evening of July 26th '25. This fab pub was our last one. Staff were great. Stout was delicious. Next time we go to Halifax this pub is definitely on the list πŸ‘πŸ».

Can't comment on wider range of food but a great selection of pies behind the bar. Black pudding top and and a Hunters were eaten very quickly, 8/10 at least. Excellent pint supporting pie
