Went today for lunch to try out after we kept saying we should after the new owners, however 45 minute wait for a cold tuna sandwich with a little bit of sprinkled cheese on, my daughters gravy and carrots were stone cold and her carrots looked like they had seen better days. Will not be returning as it’s ridiculous money - cost us £33 for something we could easily have made and enjoyed better.
After year since the last time coming here due to previous poor sercive, we decided to return in hopes that the new managment had made a change. 3 starters, 2 mains and 2 kids meals and 5 drinks came to a total of £92 expensive but had the food been good not a problem. Starters came and no issue chicken dippers were overfried but not a massive issue. When the mains arrived we was very dissapointed. I ordered what was their most expensive meal the ultimate chicken and ribs, a dish that cost £25 was quite literrally just popcorn chicken a few wings, a chicken burger fillet and cold ribs. Both mine and my sons meal came with corn on the cob which was stone cold, i also had onion rings with mine that were burnt to a crisp that even the onion inside was burnt and no longer soft. Chicken wings were also cooked far to long and burned. Very dissapoint to have paid so much for a meal to just get food that was deep fat fried and heated in a microwave as well as previously cooked corn on the cob straight out the fridge, the ribs were also lukewarm which begs the question if they were fully warmed up to the required temperature for food safety or if the food had just become cold before being served, nevertheless food should never be served at this temperature. Apart from this the lady behind the bar was nice and friendly and the facility itself is really nice, so its a shame that the food was so poor. We definetly wont be making the mistake of giving this place another go. We left half of the food on our plates and left. We didnt want to complain as we didnt want to cause a scene.
our first time at the chain bridge and won't be our last! never went before because of bad reputation heard it was under new owners checked it out and it was amazing! big portions and lovely food! will be back 100%
Came to meet with an old friend and have a few pints. Food was decent, all food came out hot and at the same time (4main meals). We were served by Eve, she was excellent and super lovely. Good music. Would come back again!
Absolutely disgraceful, none of the staff wearing uniform couldn’t determine who was actually management and who I needed to speak to about the problems during my visit. Wearing Nike jumpers, trainers and leggings is not professional, as it seems it is run by children, not a single person looked over 21 I assume to keep your wage budget down. Ordered a veggie pizza with extra chicken that arrived and looked like it had been hacked at with a chainsaw and not a pizza cutter, why are you serving your pizzas pre cut and not with the pizza cutter so the customer can decide how their pizza is sliced, like the restaurant has done for the past 7 years? Sent the pizza back it came back the 2nd time with no chicken and half the size…still pre cut. My partners bread bun on the burger was not remotely toasted but stale and was served with precisely 15 very anaemic chips, for a £13.59 burger and no dip pot of burger sauce is criminal, even better my 2 years olds waffles completely soaked in I assume dirty oil seen as they were practically dark brown. Just to top it off it took 3 members off staff to finally get a refund for my chicken that I didn’t receive, fair enough I was refunded for the whole pizza which was appreciated but a single “sorry” with no offer of a receipt to show my refund or even a heads up that it’ll be back with me in a few days, luckily I knew this already maybe an offer of dessert to the table or a drink might’ve improved my mood and would’ve stayed for dessert but wanted to immediately leave after the absolute shambles of a meal that was served. Haven’t been in over 2 years and was persuaded to try it again but never ever again! You may think I am being picky or know a bit about wage budget…yes I do, I was a staff member here for nearly 5 years, 1 and half of those a member of management leaving in 2022 so yes compared to what it was like previously I am incredibly disappointed. Pictures below show the 1st pizza then the 2nd 15 anaemic chips and fake tan waffles.
