Couldn't believe how awful food was, we ordered 2x classic mix grill was a red piece of some kind of plastic, stake on one was to well done, gammon was very fatty not eatable, Hunters chicken double up was missing a bacon and was un eatable as to burn the corn on gob what was swap from peas was nasty, chips was like re heated . Chicken and mushrooms pie tasted like washing up liquid and the mash was cold/frozen gravy was like water. Never coming back wast off a hour waiting for rubbish.
We booked the function room for our baby's Christening reception and can't fault the service we received. It was very busy as they had a carvery on (Sunday) but this wasn't an issue. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was great! The staff were so helpful in letting us store the cake in their cellar and advised us where to put decorations when we set up the night before. They even kindly popped all the balloons for us. A fabulous family pub!
I needed somewhere to wait while my car was being fixed next door, so I came here for breakfast. The food was great – exactly the kind of options I would happily cook for myself 😊. What really stood out, though, was the warm welcome and excellent service from Agneta who got me settled quickly, checked everything was OK, and continued to look after me while I waited, even offering coffee refills. Great service, well-cooked food, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere – highly recommended!
Served by Saffron and others, staff were polite and friendly. We ate here while passing through. Food was well cooked and delicious, good portion size and great value. Happy to recommend and look forward to visiting again when in the area
Evelyn was absolutely amazing! ⭐ I had booked a table for my dad’s birthday and came along with the whole family — including the dog — so we were probably a bit of a handful. But nothing was too much hassle for Evelyn. She worked with us the whole time with a constant smile on her face and made us all feel really welcome. She honestly made the whole meal and my dad’s birthday feel really special. Bringing out the birthday cake with lit candles and ice cream was such a lovely extra touch ☺️ I really can’t thank Evelyn enough. We’ll 100% be back again thanks to her!
