We had my mum’s surprise 70th at The Oak, and it was great! We all had a fabulous time, and everything went exactly how I wanted it to. The space was ideal, and the staff were so helpful with setting up beforehand. A big thank you to everyone for making it such a special day. Also, a special mention to Mark for his great communication in the lead-up to the event he was always quick to answer any questions and offer help when needed.
We held our gender reveal / baby shower at The Oak, hosting 100 guests. Diego, Dan, and the team were amazing from start to finish. Diego and Dan were incredibly accommodating—allowing us to decorate the garden and restaurant area, move furniture around, and always being on hand to help. Dan and the team put on an amazing BBQ, and everyone left complimenting how great the food was. The day ran so smoothly thanks to the whole team—we couldn’t have wished for a better celebration.
The vibe and decor were really nice! Service was good, lovely people :) pub food was yum, the oak burger, chicken wings, tater tots, except prawns…
Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch. The food was delicious and the service was welcoming and attentive throughout. A lovely local pub with a great atmosphere – we'll be returning soon.
Went as a small group for Sunday lunch. Starters were average. Roast was really tasty. Ordered cauliflower cheese for a side that was really nice too, couldn’t fault the mains we all really enjoyed them and service was good and friendly too. Really like the decor too. Here’s my gripe!! the drinks!! The hepcat was not quite right to start with, was darker/cloudier than it should be, we then ordered some vodkas and gins and these were served in possibly the worst glasses possible. Crap dirty heavy tumbler style glass with lots of water marks on and no lemon or lime served in drinks. Was so disappointing to be served a premium monkey 47 gin and grey goose vodka in this way or any gin or vodka actually, I feel like it’s the basics of a pub, serve drinks how they should be served in a presentable nice pleasing tasty way. Its so easy to get the right glasses for the right drinks and I feel very important even if you don’t have copa glasses for gins at the very least order some nice highball glasses and wipe them over when they come out of the dishwasher so they aren’t all stained and murky. Food is lovely but the drinks served let them down. When im out paying for premium drinks i want the drink to look inviting I certainly don’t want to feel like id be better off making it at home. It’s an easy fix and I feel like it would make this pub feel a lot more classier and refined. The way the drinks were served did not match or add to the pubs nice vibe.
