Absolutely amazing food!! I went with my team for a Xmas lunch and I would say one of the best foods I ever had in London! In fact all my colleagues were impressed as much as me. We ordered different dishes and all of them were just delicious. I had artichoke soup, dark chocolate & cherry desert with baileys and duck with blackberries as a main. We are definitely going back there again, I highly recommend this place especially if you are after quality meal, this is a place for you! 🤩🥳
Really busy Sunday lunch venue. Book your table and hold thumbs you get parking. My companion started with the onion soup, and it looked and smelt amazing. So filling that she did not manage to finish her beef burger with an extra topping of bacon. Roast beef lunch was awesome. I should have asked for a little more gravy but then I would not have been able to savour the tastes of the hearty selection of vegetables. The beef was so tender that I rate it a 12/10. Exquisite 😍. We eavesdropped on other dinners discussing the 'Baked Alaska', and we gave it a try. Delicious 😋. I have not had it for many years and it was worth the wait. We are planning to go back soon as we can and maybe take some additional diners with us 😉
An excellent evening last night at The Hare to celebrate mother's birthday. The staff were really friendly, the service was continuous and the food was excellent. Steve went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome and huge compliments to the souffle chef! Thank you !
Hare is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, the service from every member of staff was exceptional — attentive, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about making the experience special. Nothing felt rushed, and every interaction added to the enjoyment of the meal. The food choice is excellent, with a thoughtfully curated menu that offers something for everyone without being overwhelming. Each dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. What truly stood out was how fairly priced everything was, especially considering the quality of both the food and the service. And then there was the pistachio soufflé — quite simply unforgettable. It arrived looking like a delicate cloud, light and elegant, and tasted absolutely divine. Perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and melting in the mouth, it was the kind of dessert you keep thinking about long after you’ve left. Hare delivers on every level: service, quality, value, and those magical finishing touches that turn a meal into a memorable experience. Highly recommended.
Overall I had an enjoyable meal. To start I had the truffle arancini, which was an earthy, lovely mouthful. My friend had the cheese souffle, which came with a jug of cheese sauce so you to control how much to pour over the souffle. Pigs in blankets were perfectly crispy, zero sogginess, which is how it should always be! We both got the cod, which is usually the most personality-free of the fishy world, but the chorizo and beans brought it to life. My buttery cabbage was yum and my friend loved her truffle mash. For dessert, I tried the pistachio souffle - their bestseller. I’d been warned it was sweet, so I was prepared, but while it was pleasant, I didn’t get the 'wow factor', as it didn’t really have much flavour, the chocolate ice cream it came with upstaged it entirely. My friend's chocolate dessert, was rich and far more indulgent than my soufflé. Overall, a lovely gastropub.
