📍 0.1 miles from The Hive Stadium
The Hive Stadium offers excellent facilities for both home and away supporters. Away fans are allocated the North Stand, which features a spacious bar area with multiple TV screens showing live football on Sky Sports and BT Sport, providing a comfortable and engaging pre-match experience. The Orange Bar, located in the West Stand, is open two hours before kick-off and serves a full range of drinks, including lagers, ciders, bitter, stout, wines, spirits, and soft drinks, along with snacks like baguettes and crisps. The stadium's modern design and amenities contribute to a positive matchday atmosphere for all fans.
So it was my First Time visiting The Hive home of Barnet FC/London Bees as my beloved Oldham Athletic were playing Barnet FC at the Hive. I am a registered disabled British Army Veteran so I turned up at the Hive 3 hours Early to watch the Mighty Oldham Athletic in the 12:30 Kick Off In the Sky Bet League 2 Kick off live and exclusive on Sky Sports+, I parked in the limited disabled parking spaces at the Hive. I headed round the ground as I always do and visit the Club Shop, Check out the facilities and soak up the atmosphere, I was heading round the stadium 🏟 before heading to the home bar as I had arrived 3 hours early for Kick off. I headed in to the Starbucks/Home bar to order a Cafe Latte as the bar doesn't open till 11:00 hours(After I spoke to Staff) so after spotting home fans drinking beer at 10:50am i headed to the bar to order a beer i was then approached by a Barnet FC steward who was an older Gentleman who politely told me that the bar is for home fans only which i respected but the steward explained he would allow me to have a beer but I would have to stand outside the bar to enjoy my beer 🍺. Shortly after ordering my beer 🍺 the steward again approached me again asking me to leave the bar, I tried to explain to the steward I am a registered Disabled British Army Veteran which he wouldn't listen i was simply trying to explain that i am registered disabled British Army Veteran and due to the cold weather it would affect my knee replacement. I then asked to speak to head of Security/Security supervisor/Security Management and i was spoken to by a member of Security Management who i think was called Aaron/Andy who came to speak to me and he was extremely apologetic and thanked me for my service and was a perfect gentleman who explained the stewards side of things as obviously separating home and away fams minimises the chance of any conflict as obviously the bar is for home fans and away fans have there own bar. The Member of Security/Security Management who looks after away fans Aaron/Andy was absolutely spot on and diffused a potentially volatile situation between me and the steward. I finished my drink in the home bar before heading around to the away fans bar(It is huge) for a few pints of Peroni before heading to my seat ready for the match, Apart from the above mentioned incident the whole experience was fantastic, The stadium is Secure, ANPR Cameras are in use you pay for parking via QR Code/Website/in person in the cafe (I paid £8.00 for over 24 hours via the QR Code). Fantastic Stadium, Polite and friendly staff, Separate home and away end, Great atmosphere, Pitch was in fantastic condition, We enjoyed a fantastic match, Which had everything from winning to drawing level to a penalty to a red card. Unluckily we got beat by Barnet FC 3 Vs Oldham Athletic 2, I wish Barnet FC all the best for the season. 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ post alot of reviews on Google and I always give my honest opinion on everything from food, cleanliness, drink, Service, value for money, setting, ambience etc and I have over 40,000,000+ views on Google alone. Great stadium with a good amount of parking. Using the website to pay for parking is a little awkward but not a real issue. Good transport connections and friendly staff.
Despite being a fan of the club, I will try to deliver an unbiased review of the club. The Food is average, although the products are always thoroughly cooked. There is a slim range of products to choose from: a couple of pies. Ham and Cheeseburgers with bacon, and a Hot Dog - does the job for a stadium. The drink selection at the Legends bar at the Legends stand is above satisfactory, having all staples of known stadium beers. The prices are really good considering the fact that this is a stadium. The accessibility to the legends stand is tough for those on a wheelchair or crutches as there is a rather long staircase that leads to the turnstiles (but I’m sure staff will accommodate those with disabilities). Lastly, the atmosphere is really good, considering that around 2000 fans come to the matches weekly. Most of the atmosphere is based in legends E and F towards the top rows, the drumming and singing is loud and almost constant. (Experience may vary for away fans or fans coming to another stand)
Visited to watch the Good Friday game, easy access, fairly decent setup, but they don’t sell pies!!
League Cup preliminary round Barnet v Newport. Newport 2 up well into injury time ended 2 2 Newport won 4 2 on penalties. Tidy ground with a decent atmosphere despite a small crowd.
