Used to come in years ago but got barred for having an opinion, so stayed away for a long time. Since Tod and Holly have taken over, it’s miles better. Easily some of the best landlords and landladies to walk through the doors — welcoming, fair, and they’ve completely turned the place around. Proper local again
Good place for a pre-game pint. Good price albeit representative of quality of pint. Would have liked some real ale. Friendly staff and quick service despite being busy.
Very popular pub. We were there for the ladies darts evening and unfortunately there were insufficient chairs to accommodate everyone. Also, there was live music & karaoke which was extremely loud making it impossible to hear the scorer.
Started playing darts there with ladies team on Thursday's there was a buskers night on. Very loud lots of people there. Certainly changed from last time I was in there.
Unfortunately I'm no longer working at Mount . From Cecilia King . June 2023 This is my local Pub ,its been here as long as I've known it , I've just joined the team, so ill be serving and I can tell you that the New Landlady and Landlord of the Mount is Michelle and Steve from Kent , with their three children. So welcome to Oakwell Barnsley to a lovely family . The Mount will be open to football fans as usual, very busy on March Days . There will also there will be events coming like Kareoke, find on Facebook for more information, Steve who is also a DJ has Top of the range sound system for disco nights etc , so hopefully we see you at the Mount for a friendly Local Pint or two or three who's counting.Not Me . Also Mondays Pool nights.
