There has not been a single occasion where we’ve been given cutlery without actual food chunks on it (7+ visits). Asked for replacement cutlery multiple times because they’re not cleaned, no apology and looks of disgust (at us) from the barmaid. Otherwise the food is well priced and tastes nice.

After trying the TRULY EPIC Big Smoke Brisket burger last week, this week I opted for the more expensive, Christmas-y, festive... Chicken, Stuffing and maple cured bacon Burger, topped with pigs in blankets. That was the best bit. Everything under the pigs in blankets tasted of bread. The very definition of a nothingburger. Do better, Bramah's. We were mugged today by the menu. It was very disappointing and about as close to Christmas as the summer solstice. Service, as always was fine. Atmosphere was usual spoons, no one kicking off.

Spoons is always a good place for a cheap and cheerful lunch. The service is pretty quick and they are happy to serve child portions to an elderly mum with a small appetite. She really likes it there as it is always buzzing and she likes to people watch. Drinks are so cheap too

I came here yesterday with the hubby and son for a meal and it was very cheap being around £28.22 including drinks and 3 deserts around £12.50. Then all of a sudden the very loud fire alarm came on out of the blue for no reason whatsoever and ok I get that there is a kitchen which could have triggered it but it's still not very nice to be stood outside for at least 5 mins for no reason especially if other people are smoking/vaping around you when I don't do any of them myself. After the fire alarm had ended the staff didn't even tell us what caused it even though they work there, overall 3 stars due the fire alarm going off spooking the hell out of my husband and son if it wasn't for that it would've probably been a 5 star review but yeah very cheap meals and deserts/ very tasty and provided us good table service

I only had a couple of hot drinks in my visit today. But it was nice, quiet and toilets had just been cleaned and there were lots of them. Table was clean and only £1.31 for unlimited drinks, can't really beat this for morning coffees.
