📍 0.3 miles from London Stadium
Overlooking London Stadium at Westfield Stratford City, The Cow is a handy pre-match base. It screens live sport on big screens with fixtures listed, so you can catch early kick-offs before walking to the ground. Football Ground Guide lists The Cow among pubs that accept away fans and also recommends it for home supporters, making it a mixed matchday spot. With an all-day food offering and stated food service hours, you can get a proper meal pre- or post-game. The pub also notes it’s a short walk from Stratford Station and the stadium, keeping travel simple on matchdays.
A Young's pub in Westfield shopping centre Stratford. First time in a Young's hostelry for years and it wasn't bad! For lunch my friend enjoyed smoked salmon on sourdough and I had salt & pepper calamari and we shared some fries. The calamari was okay but the coating was abit soggy. As always in pubs these days our glasses of wine were very expensive! We ordered and paid at the bar. Alittle odd but all the TV screens were showing the logfire in an attempt I suppose to give the place a feeling of cosiness. Not sure if it worked. The ladies loo was up a flight of stairs.
Lovely, airy dining room (a bit chilly, during a cold snap late March) with limited view of the Olympic Park. Excellent Sunday roast (pork belly), with all trimmings, pity it was not piping hot, but good value (£20). Service quick, competent and friendly. A bit disappointed, because the management was informed it was a big birthday celebration, (a 75th) and they didn't bother with even a tiny extra (usually even a cupcake with a candle, just to show willing), which is often offered elsewhere, but of course it's at their discretion. Would go back.
Good location, as not in an overcrowded indoor shopping centre. Service was attentive. Mashed potatoes and sausages, were delicious and good portion size. Pear crumble and Custard was tasty. Apple juice drink and black coffee were both refreshing. Price of food and drinks were reasonable.
The Cow at Westfield is exactly what you need when you're looking for a reliably great meal and a classic, relaxed atmosphere. It's a proper classic pub vibe—you know exactly what you're getting the moment you walk in. There is plenty of peace and lots of seating, plus the outdoor space with table service is a huge bonus. The overall value for money here, especially considering the Westfield location, is fantastic. Our bill was just over £50 for three massive dishes, and the portions alone make it worthwhile. The Food Highlights We tried three dishes, and while two were perfect, one missed the mark slightly on the description, though it was still enjoyable. 1. Dozen Sliders (Must Try!): These are massive and incredible value for £33. They are essentially six smaller, full burgers, offering serious bang for your buck, especially when comparing the portion size to other spots like Tiger Burger. They came with a huge portion of excellent, crispy chips—perfectly cooked! My only small note is that the patties were a little dry, but the huge portions easily made up for it. 2. Chicken Wings (Juicy and Sweet): The chicken (or "hog") wings were juicy and smothered in a delicious sweet BBQ sauce. A simple, effective, and very satisfying dish. 3. Truffle Mac n Cheese (Needs a Name Change): This was the only point of confusion. While the dish was a very cheesy, tasty pasta, it was certainly not a Mac and Cheese, and there was definitely no truffle flavour present. It was good and we enjoyed it, but management should review the name as it’s not accurate to what is served. Overall, The Cow is a fantastic spot. If you're looking for huge portions, great value, and a classic pub environment in Westfield, this is the place to go. Highly recommend the sliders!
Cosy and always busy pub, great food menu in upstairs restaurant. Clean and tidy place. Welcoming, friendly staff. Will be back Thank you for hospitality 👏🏻
