Nice and spacious pub in the center of Bournemouth that serves great food. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating space, perfect for large groups as well as for business meetings. Service is friendly and professional. I had the lamb shank curry which was really tasty, and the apple and rhubarb crumble for dessert which was ok. They serve some nice smoked beef short ribs too and the rest of the menu looked appetising. Price is moderate to high but it’s worth it. I would definitely recommend!
We recently had our wedding reception at the Forge in the Libertine and cannot recommend them enough! They made the entire process stress free, were super accommodating and so friendly. Nothing was too much, in the build up and on the day! The team worked seamlessly to ensure we had everything exactly as we asked and really left us to it when we wanted them to! Poppy was excellent at organising everything, she responded promptly to emails and made sure the whole team knew what we were after. Anastasia served us for the evening, she was warm and smiley and exactly the right amount of attentive! Richard, the manager, was amazing, he gave us multiple tours and allowed us to decorate the room exactly how we wanted it. He also let us pack down the next morning rather than on the same night which was great! A last shout out to the chef! The menu was spot on, everyone loved their food and commented on how it was the best wedding food they’d ever had! Thank you so much Libertine! You really made our day so special.
Had an amazing beef roast and my mum had the nut roast. Best roast I’ve ever had. Our server Abigail was friendly, informative and attentive, made the whole experience that much better. Bartender mikey also served incredible drinks with amazing service. Will be back very soon. Thank you
Some of the best food we’ve had in Westbourne. We’ve come here for dinner and Sunday roasts and never once been disappointed. The food is consistently served to an excellent standard and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. Special shout out to Holly, she’s a wonderful asset to The Libertine team. P.s. that was one of the best Espresso Martinis I’ve had in a long time. So good I had to order two of them!
Booked here by chance for sunday lunch after a wreath making workshop and couldn't have enjoyed our time here more! The food was delicious, massive portions and reasonably priced - would recommend the pork roast and cauliflower cheese side, also the crumble was 10/10. Anastasia and Lara were so attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere was really wonderful. Can't wait to come back! 💖
