π 2.5 miles from LNER Community Stadium
The Ackhorne is a traditional 18th-century pub located approximately a 10-minute walk from York's LNER Community Stadium, making it a convenient spot for both home and away fans. The pub offers a selection of real ales and ciders, creating a welcoming atmosphere for supporters. While it doesn't prominently advertise as a football pub, its proximity to the stadium and its reputation among locals suggest it can be a comfortable pre-match venue for fans. The pub's cozy setting and friendly service add to its appeal for those seeking a relaxed environment before or after a match.
It's tucked away just off Micklegate, it's a cosy boozer with lots of different interesting things inside, be it the pictures or the old bar billiards table. I had a few Guinnesses and they went down well ππ»
Good pub tucked away of the main tourist route. Bloody good beer selection, good quality. Shame about the music, too loud, unnecessary if you want to talk
Easy to miss but a it's a friendly local with a decent choice of well kept ale.
Didnβt have food. Great range of beers, cosy atmosphere and very friendly staff and customers.
Not the easiest pub to find in the dark but I'm glad I made the trek. Steady business but still quiet during my visit. Solid selection of cask ales and some rustic, cozy rooms to sit down with a pint. Friendly local bartender. Would love to have a pub like this in my neighborhood.
