I liked it. Very nice atmosphere, good service, plenty of space, had the sport on the TV in a nice outside area. I ordered the ribs as I saw someone else had them and they looked really good, but actually they tasted like the ones you buy from LIDL, which is fine, but not for £20. Apart from the average food I really liked it.
Worst pub I've ever been to for food and service. I'm being generous giving one star. Pork belly roast was burnt to a cinder but the worst experience was the attitude of the staff. When I ordered a drink the barmaid gave me a filthy look and couldn't even be bothered to say thank you and slammed my drink on the bar. The Pork roast was awful and very overpriced. To top it all the manager came to me to tell me that I upset her barmaid because I asked her to be polite to customers and that what I said was unacceptable. When I go to an establishment and pay £16.95 for a plate of unedible food a smile and a thankyou is the least I'd expect. She said the barmaid wasn't feeling well and we're very busy. My advice is if you haven't the decency to be polite to customers spending money in your pub don't work with customers. Extremely unprofessional. Don't waste your money
Visited my friends in the area over the bank holiday weekend. Lovely little pub really rustic feel, lads and lasses on the bar were all so wonderful and friendly. Good selection of drinks, clean and tidy especially for how many people were in there for the size of it. Will be back next time I visit.
We came for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago as our friends live round the corner and really enjoyed the experience. The food was great and they have Harveys on tap which is great. I had the pork belly which was delicious and not chewy as you sometimes get. Debbie and the staff were friendly and welcoming, look forward to coming back with the dogs :-)
First-time visit, although we live locally. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were polite and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Pay-and-display parking is across the road. We would definitely be coming back.
