Lovely building, lovely staff & good selection of beers. Sausage and mash was good too. Only gripe is cliquey left side of the bar area, 50% of which is almost always taken up by the same blokes who clearly on the packet, which can be a nightmare while trying to order. Apart from that a good pub which I come too most weeks.

Quite nice here not too noisy or crowded on a weekday, the food is nicely cooked better than other usual pub food around which is nice.

We went mainly because it is close to the Palace Theatre. Food was standard pub fare. Very reasonably priced, especially with the 20% theatre discount. Drink selection is pretty standard as well. What makes this place stand out is the friendliness of the staff and the fact they are supporting local entertainment. They have live music every other Saturday and of course the pre/post theatre discount on food. We'll certainly be back whenever we go to the Palace theatre or anywhere in the area

We had a great lunch at the Trading Room. The food was far better than we were expecting, excellent cauliflower dish, roast pork with good portions. And cheaper than some of the more popular areas of Leigh. Nice relaxed atmosphere. And Tariq (?) is a real gent. It’s rare to see such high level of service and all round friendliness. Thanks!
