Great place and decent pint. Plenty of atmosphere and loads going off like kAreoke and raffles, quizzes and spin the wheel
I'm sure this is a great bar for many, it was certainly busy. Just not my thing in any way, shape or form. Very cheap pint, but the only beer they had was ice cold John Smith Extra Smooth. Music was absolutely blaring to the point we unfortunately could not have a conversation so immediately drank up and left.
Must have the best pint of John Smiths in the town.
Drinks very reasonably priced. Good clean pub well furnished, but the karaoke is utter garbage. Worst I've heard.
Walking past so stopped for a pint. First thing is that I am visiting from London so nearly hugged the staff with joy at hearing it was only a £2.30 pint. Quick and friendly service even though it was crowded. Very much a 'locals' pub but not in an unfriendly way as some places can be. I didn't try the food and it was a Wednesday afternoon visit so not the best indicator of atmosphere. Basically I would visit here again.
