Visited tonight with my daughter and had a brilliant experience. The food was fantastic, service came with a smile, and the whole place was absolutely immaculate. Highly recommend! We will definitely be returning 🌟
We booked for Sunday lunch after hearing some good reports. Excellent sized portions, possibly too much, but who ever complains about getting too much food for a good price. Trio of meat's all well cooked and with plenty of gravy and portion of exceptional cauliflower cheese (be warned it's nuclear when it arrives). Only suggestion would be an extra stuffing ball for the amount of meat and possibly some horseradish sauce - we should have asked. Atmosphere was nice, all very polite and just the right volume with brilliant service from the team.
Attended a private party last night with all of my family and the place couldn’t have done enough for us. There were 35 of us in total and everyone has told me the food was delicious. I had the chicken tikka and the sticky toffee pudding and it was amazing! Will definitely be having that again! Compliments to the chef! The two girls behind the bar were lovely and served everything with a smile! Great credit to the company. Will definitely be holding more family events there.
On Saturday 21st February, family and friends were celebrating our sister's (Viv) 60th birthday and celebrate it we did!! We could not have chosen a better venue than the 'Duke of Cleveland', the food was absolutely outstanding and I speak on behalf of everyone I spoke with and that was a lot of people, numbering around 30 or so, and there was probably just a small number of mainly younger children I did not get around to speaking with but of those younger one's I did manage to talk to, they also had high praise for the food. The venue was chosen because many of the people that attended my sister's party had been there previously which was why it was highly recommended. I know the chef personally (Rob) and he worked his socks off that night to deliver top quality food and in a timely manner, aided by two very courteous and friendly female members of staff (whose names I didn't get unfortunately), who were outstanding in making sure everyone received their food. The atmosphere was brilliant, full of laughter and chatter in a very well presented room which lended the perfect ambience to help create the amazing night we had and my sister was 'blown away' (her words) by it all. It was my first visit to the restaurant but it won't be my last. I fully endorse the comments made by all those I spoke with and would thoroughly recommend the 'Duke of Cleveland' to anyone who enjoys good food. Hats off to the chef and the staff for their sterling work. Thank you on behalf of all who attended
Wow! We visited for Sunday roast after hearing so many good things. One of the best Sunday roasts we've had in ages. Generous portions, reasonable prices and staff are friendly. The place has a lovely cosy vibe and food was delicious. My only regret was that I didn't get pigs in blankets... will have to try them next time.
