Visited for the first time with my son to buy him some tea, one weekday night. Sat in the family area to eat. Took me an absolute age to find a kids menu to be able to order him some food, and the QR code wasn't working once I had pretty much made our order (gave up in the end and went to the bar to order). There's a separate bar area where children aren't allowed, which I think is a good idea. The pub is big enough to accommodate both. My son sort of enjoyed his food, although he was a bit picky. I got us a meal and two drinks for less than ten pounds so value for money wasn't too bad. The bar is clean, as is the whole area. The only downside is the music was too loud really, but if it hadnt been for a kids meal and it was just adults visiting this probably wouldn't have been an issue, however it was before 7pm. The scramble for a kids menu, and the QR code issues with ordering mean we are unlikely to revisit. Its just your usual generic chain pub food. You get what you pay for I guess.
Popped in for a drink with my husband, was served instantly. Ordered some food and the lass running it was smiling and made us feel welcome, food was quick and delicious. Very pleased, will be visiting again! 🙂
Abbey was amazing behind the bar ! Came in for food and drink compliments to the chef, Josh, the homemade chips are unbelievable. Great value for money with carlsberg being only £2.95!
Went to watch a local band Electric Sheep play. Big pub and was very busy on a Friday night in January which was both unexpected and lovely to see. Had Camerons's Strongarm on cask and also had Tetley's and Neck Oil on so that wasn't too bad, especially with Strong Arm on. Staff were friendly and efficient. Band were fabulous and the crowd loved them. Didn't have any food on this visit so can't rate it.
The Greenside is a warm and welcoming venue with so many lovely people and attentive, professional, and friendly staff. Darren had served me at the bar and was a fabulous barman. Allison is the landlord and spends a lot of time with customers to make everyone feel welcome. They had karaoke and disco on, and it was such an amazing atmosphere with great music and some really good singers. All in all, I had a great night and will have many more to come. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
