📍 1.8 miles from Silverlake Stadium
Steam Town Brew Co. is a popular pre-match venue for both home and away supporters visiting Eastleigh. Located just a short walk from Eastleigh railway station, it offers a convenient stop for fans traveling to Silverlake Stadium. The brewery regularly hosts live music, quiz nights, and monthly 'Beer Knights' events, which include tutored beer tastings and brewery tours, making it a lively spot for fans to gather before or after matches. The venue's industrial decor, featuring railway memorabilia, adds to its unique atmosphere. While it doesn't explicitly advertise as an away fan pub, its welcoming environment and proximity to the station make it a favored choice for all football fans.
I was so looking forward to eating here as I've been before for beers, which are fantastic. I don't know if I was unlucky, but my food looked nothing like the pictures and was quite disappointing. I had wings with blue cheese sauce and the All American Burger. The burger was nice, but for £12 it was not memorable. The wings were a a big disappointment - the blue cheese sauce was not enjoyable at all and I had to waste most of it. It was like a béchamel sauce, rather than a blue cheese sauce you'd typically expect for wings. On the plus side, my daughter enjoyed her kids meal. The service was good and the staff were lovely. Cool venue too. I can't help but feel maybe I ordered the wrong options as the other photos on the reviews page look a lot more appetising than what I had.
I can't find anything bad to say - every aspect of my experience here was spot on, including seating and music. The food was stellar, and the majority of the items on the menu have gluten free options. Staff are allergy conscious and asked about any allergies before taking our order. I would absolutely recommend this place, and will be back for more very soon! Note: fries are ordered separately, but when you see the portion sizes you'll see why...!
Gosh, genuinely such a wonderful place to go for food. Amazing food, servers and atmosphere. We were served by the lovely Kari who gave wonderful recommendations and was just great to talk to as well. They also had an amazing selection of gluten free food, I've never had such a good set of food I can properly indulge in and enjoy, I felt like a proper part of the group being able to order basically whatever I like. They have a great range of gf beer too!!
Our whole family love this place! But we have unfortunately moved away recently and are severely missing the ales and food. Kari and all the staff are very friendly too. We'll be sure to pop in when we're in the area again 😊🍻
Favourite pub in the area. Been here with several volunteer groups (biodiversity/nature related), and with other local organisations. The Thistly Cross cider is delicious, and their lime and sodas are always refreshing, if you are looking for an alternative to alcohol. I have always felt comfortable here with the staff, and the atmosphere is generally lively, but low key. It is substantially louder and busier in the evenings, as is expected with pubs, but the earlier part of the days are totally suitable to get some work done or hold quieter meetings. The only thing I would improve is the vegan/dairy free options, perhaps a meatless Sandwich or something lighter than the burgers. Otherwise, it’s an excellent and unique pub that is a valuable part of this community. Nice to walk/run by it and see people enjoying their time outside. I haven’t seen any belligerent behaviour from people that drink here and its refreshing.
