About this Pub

London Road Brew House
City-centre spot in Bedford Place that shows Sky Sports and BT/TNT Sports, so you can watch lunchtime and late kick-offs. Reviews note plenty of TV screens for sport. They also open early on some Saints matchdays and serve a full menu, making it a convenient pre- or post-match base. An open kitchen turns out stone-baked pizzas, so groups can eat quickly before heading to the ground.

Positives: Pizza's are great. Staff are professional. Prices are reasonable for an independent bar. Negatives: Retro games are gone. The few board games they have are all unplayable. All the food (except pizza's) is underwhelming. (Photo attached is my sorry looking Philly Cheese Steak Panini). The TV's volume for sports are poor if they're on at all. Service at the bar is relaxed, but slow.

This one ticks a few boxes. Excellent beer selection Sports on the screens Pool table Great atmosphere. I didn't eat on this occasion, but I may try the wings next time. Look forward to popping back 👍.

To be honest, slightly disappointed. We came on a Saturday night, in search of some of their wings as we’d heard good things about them. We went to order some wings and they told us there’s no wings. A bit disappointed. Instead we ordered some ‘loaded buffalo chicken fries’-only to be met by 3 or 4 pieces of small chicken. We also had 2 pizzas, which in fairness was very good, however the prosciutto one only came with about 4 bits of meat. Slightly disappointing. The atmosphere did make up for it, however for such a highly recommended food place, I will not be returning for food.

Loverly dog friendly pub, we had the lunch time menu and it was excellent, the kebab was a very generous portion, they have a great selection of beers, some cider and a couple of stouts, we tried a few and they were all good. We chose to sit outside as the weather was good but dogs are also welcome inside. They also have a pool table which was good fun.

A favourite of mine in the city of Southampton. It's a great meeting place near other bars and clubs or certainly captivating enough to warrant an entire evening. There's plenty of space with a variety of seats on multiple levels. Plenty of screens for the sports fans. Also they have a pool table, free juke box, retro games console and a wide bar with plenty of artisan ales or good old fave classics. I only tried the pizzas and wings recently and was not dissatisfied at all. They have a great range of pizzas all made and cooked onsite in a large pizza oven. Yum. Toilets are good, lighting and ambience good, security friendly and the clientele varied. It's a fun, vibrant and thoroughly enjoyable place. Cheers 🍻
