Right on Cheltenham’s High Street, The Swan is a convenient town-centre meet before heading to Cheltenham Town’s ground. CAMRA’s WhatPub lists it as close to bus routes, helpful for getting across town. It serves food every day (Indian street food and Sunday roasts), so you can get a proper pre- or post-match meal. Away-day information notes that pubs in the town centre are roughly a 15-minute walk from the stadium, making central venues like The Swan a practical base on matchdays.
Lovely pub and the curry garlic chili chicken was lush! Nice pint of Gravity lager too, def going to be a regular it's a lovely atmosphere and loads of seating, beer garden nice too. Oh and lovely staff 😀 🍻🥂👍
I visit here each time I’m in Cheltenham. It’s a great pub, lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly, quick and polite. The food has always been fantastic, and the bonus is it’s dog friendly! This is the first time I had the Sunday roast, it was something special!
Fantastic food and an excellent selection of beers!!! Very good value for money! Absolutly recommend the Goat Curry and the Inspector Remorse porter!
Great Indian food, best I’ve had in a very long time. I have no clue what to order at an Indian usually, we ordered a bunch of dishes and they were all amazing. The sauce pots are generous too! This is a relaxed pub, super nice vibe. Everyone will feel comfortable here
I'll just start with the fact that I'm not British... but, I was deeply disappointed by the Indian food here. My friend and I got a variety of dishes e.g., butter chicken, Bharta (aubergine curry), Chana Chaat, and the dishes lacked in flavor. The butter chicken wasn't just a mild curry, but extremely sweet in flavor. We were able to replace that dish with the chili chicken, however it wasn't much better. The aubergine didn't taste of "curry" or any spices at all. I write this review to warn others because, sadly, this has to be some of the least flavorful Indian I've ever had. And, I've been to India before, so I'm not a novice. The staff were accommodating and the ambiance is lovely, however I would not suggest coming here for a good Indian meal.
