About this Pub

The Old Courthouse
Set in Cheltenham town centre, The Old Courthouse is a practical pre-match stop for supporters walking to Cheltenham Town’s Completely-Suzuki Stadium—guides note it’s about a 15-minute walk from the town centre to the ground. You can get a proper meal before kick-off thanks to full daily menus, and there’s cask ale plus a broad draught lineup listed on the venue’s drinks menu. It’s also close to bus routes if you’re moving around town on matchday. Note there are no TVs here, so it suits fans who want food and a chat rather than to watch early kick-offs.

Went for a Sunday roast today. Had the lamb (and added a yorkshire pudding). Was very dang good! Lamb was so tender and flavorful, the gravy was tasty... and the mint sauce really adds a great herby taste to an already spectacular meal. Finished off with a classic dessert, sticky toffee pudding and a cappuccino. I made a RSVP, which is not required, but would definitely make one. I have seen how busy they can be. Thank you Old Courthouse!

One of the best drink and food venues in Cheltenham and dog friendly. The staff are very friendly and efficient - especially Bradley and Saf. I’m always greeted with a smile and the staff remember you which is so nice. Low staff churn rate must mean they enjoy working there. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Great selection of real ales. Upstairs is amazing. Like going back in time. It’s a former county court from Victoria times with all the original furniture and docks, and the downstairs toilets are the former prisoner cells where defendants waited before being sentenced. The upstairs can be rented for private parties. Plus smaller side rooms can also be used for private parties. Highly recommend the place. Well worth the visit.

Well my friend booked ahead and asked for a quiet area. As I have sensory problems. They went above and beyond for us, quiet area, and even turned music off while we were there , food was excellent. Great atmosphere, and special thanks to for our waiter Paul, very considerate, polite friendly

Really enjoyed our visit to The Old Courthouse. The place has such nice decor—full of character and a great atmosphere. We had the Sunday roast and it was spot on. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth popping in if you’re in Cheltenham!
