📍 0.7 miles from Brunton Park
In Cheltenham town centre, The Moon Under Water is highlighted by Football Ground Guide as a practical pre-match option for visiting supporters, about a mile from the EV Charger Points Stadium, with nearby short-stay parking. WhatPub lists early–til–late food service (8am–11pm) and proximity to bus routes, making it easy to grab a meal and head to the ground. WhatPub also notes Sports TV, and Wetherspoon’s own site trails live sport across its pubs, so early/late kick-offs can be watched before or after the match. Overall, its central location, all-day food, real-ale offering and transport/parking convenience make it a solid mixed-fan meeting spot on matchdays.
Had lunch here with my daughter yesterday and it was slightly busy but we used the app to order did not take long for our drinks to turn up then our food not long after, I went for the all day Brunch which was very nice very tasty and hot and my daughter went for the pasta which she really enjoyed, we also went for pudding I went for the Pancakes and ice cream and daughter went for the brownie, all the food was very tasty presentable and very enjoyable the place it's self was what you expect from a weatherspoons but it was clean and staff was friendly and very unusually toilets are downstairs lol
We dine here every night during the week and have been told by the locals that the "moon" is lovingly called "The Rogue Choad" the food is great and the staff are friendly and polite, we highly recommend the "choad" to everyone.
In the main, a solid reliable Spoons pub. The smoking area at the back is lovely and the food served briskly by friendly staff. I like it there, but sometimes don't feel 100 percent safe, as a lone traveller. Wi-Fi is available, and easily accessible.
today me and my 3 friends decided to go here for a break on our day out and i bought a pitcher for all of us to share as a treat. i went to the bathroom after i had ordered and came back to our drinks delivered and everyone had already been identified apart from me. unfortunately i had forgotten my id today and an employee had come back to our table to check i was of age. i had forgotten my id that day which i told the employee i have a picture on my phone and im a little upset because there was no conversation about it he just took my drink straight from the table and walked off :/ now i understand its their job to make sure no one under the age of 18 is served no alcohol im just a little upset at the rudeness of it in my opinion he could’ve told me “im sorry unfortunately we cant sell this too you” which is COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE this is their job after all. i just think some staff should be a little nicer since im a sensitive girl and i tried to joke about it with my friends to find a different member of staff coming back to tell me “if we see you drinking alcohol we will have to kick you out” which is also fine its just a little upsetting to be almost targeted about it when i was just trying to lighten my spirits with my friends. :( but maybe i need to grow up a little and i also think the second conversation could’ve been completely avoided if the fi
It's a Spoons, so it will never be a Ritz, but it's my local for a liquid lunch during work. Cracking quick service and a lovely smoking area. All you need from a spoons really
