In Cheltenham town centre, Planet Caravan is handy for pre-match meet-ups, with 16 rotating draft lines for quick beers before heading to the ground. The kitchen serves street-food until around 8:30pm (5pm Sun), which helps groups get a hot bite on matchdays. Away-day guides note that pubs in the town centre are roughly a 15-minute walk from Cheltenham Town’s stadium, making a central stop practical before or after the game.
Incredible food, excellent selection of drinks and very friendly. Nice cosy place which has an excellent taste in music. Nice alternative to the mainstream generic pubs that are everywhere! Also runs a very fun quiz night with a very amusing drawing challenge! Well worth a visit!
Me and my partner used to live round the corner from Planet Caravan, and it's genuinely the thing we miss most about our old flat. The food is incredible. It's hard to express with words how delicious everything on the menu is, you just have to try it. There is a huge range of drinks to try that seem to change each time we visit so it never gets stale. I definitely recommend trying a largerita! The staff (especially Bruno) have always been wonderfully kind, helpful, and attentive hosts - you can really see how much they care. And the atmosphere in general is just lovely here. Even having moved out of Cheltenham, it's still our favourite spot and I wish we could visit more often.
Teeny tiny bar but great vibes and chill people. Can be a lil claustrophobic but mostly fine! Didn't have any food but it smelled bangin
This place is the perfect mix of cool and cosy. Great for a few drinks (don’t sleep on those watermelon margs, they made me break dry Jan because I could NOT resist). The food is also great, the nachos and tacos were delightful. The roast is also one of the best ive had, the beef, the mash, the gravy, all 10/10. Also just lovely vibes and there’s a dog, so.. go.. like now 💁🏼♀️
Had a great time at Planet Caravan in Cheltenham, a cool spot for simple but flavorful Mexican dishes that are perfect for sharing. The menu isn't too complicated, but everything we tried was packed with taste, making it a great place to head with friends. They’ve also got a wide range of beers to choose from, and it’s always changing, so there’s something new to try each time you visit. I went for a few of the more unusual beers—didn’t love all of them, but I appreciated the chance to step outside my comfort zone and try something different. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, happy to chat and make recommendations based on what you like. The venue itself is brightly colored, laid-back, and has a great vibe—definitely a fun spot to hang out. I also loved seeing that they run "Talk Clubs," a men’s mental health initiative, which I think is a fantastic way to get people talking and connecting with the ups and downs of real life. Overall, Planet Caravan is a great choice if you’re looking for a relaxed place with tasty food, good drinks, and a friendly atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back to see what new beers they have on tap and enjoy more of those delicious Mexican dishes.
