The team here are one of a kind. Simon, Johnny et al are perfect - it feels like a small community. I feel lucky to have this place as my local pub, and I'll never stop singing high praises. Thank you all for the kind gestures and genuine kindness.
I really don't like leaving negative reviews, the pub itself has a nice vibe, I think it would okay if you were just going for a few drinks but I certainly would not recommend eating there. Got there about 7pm on a Thursday eve, so not a particularly busy time, but I had to stop in for some emergency food for my little one as our journey had overrun and it was getting late. I stood at the bar (which as far as I could tell had no other customers) for about five minutes waiting to order food and was ignored. So ended up going and downloading the app to order online which took ages. And meant I couldn't customise my order either. Ordered a cheese and tomato pizza with corn on the cob for my little one, and a beyond burger for myself. The pizza came out with what looked like just a tomato base and no cheese (as you can see in the photo, and was so hard I had to lean on the knife the cut it into four, and was basically inedible. My burger was meant to come with skin on rosemary fries, and I got a small handful of regular chips instead , the burger itself was alright but I imagine the beyond team are to thank for the that, the bun was simultaneously stale, hard and soggy, which I guess is impressive in its own right... I ended up giving the burger patty and my chips to my little one so he could have something to eat and going without myself. I took my plates back to the bar and would have complained in person and asked for money back, but I waited again for a few minutes to just be ignored, by this time it was really late and I needed to get out of there with my child so just left.. my child seemed to enjoy the few chips and the corn on the cob though.
Dining from start to finish waa excellent. Great staff and couldn't do more to help. 2nd time here and will definitely be back. Simon the assistant manager went above and beyond. Great atmosphere.
Was served by Jonny, he was very lovely and attentive. There was really good deals on, I ordered a beyond burger and it was the best vegetarian burger I’ve had from a pub! Definitely recommend the Norwood arms on Thursday quiz night!! Great service and food, great for groups.
Had a table of 7 booked for a birthday meal. A lovely clean pub with a lovely atmosphere. Staff are very approachable, pleasant and great hosts. Food was delicious and cannot be faulted neither can the attention paid to allergies on entry, at point of ordering and serving at the table. Great value too:
