About this Pub

Harry Cook Freehouse
Town-centre spot on Montpellier Walk that makes TV matchdays easy: it actively promotes live sport screenings (Sky Sports/TNT Sports) with fixtures and booking, plus Order-at-Table so you don’t miss any action. CAMRA also notes large screens for sports, and Visit Cheltenham’s Euros guide recommended it for watching every match. With a full pub food menu and a rotating craft-beer line-up, it works well for pre-/post-match meet-ups in town or for watching neutral games on TV.

Really great pub, modern but with an older feel to it. Plenty of choice on the menu and a really good selections of beers. Pretty popular for half one in the afternoon. My husband had the club sandwich pictured and with a drink chat came with it was plenty for a small lunch. Only gripe, no toilet roll in one toilet and a small amount in the other. Not ideal, thankfully no one was around as I went to the loos. Still enjoyed though.

Top food and great service. I shared a roast for two for Sunday lunch and everything about was excellent! George and Jess served us and we're fantastic!

Had a table of 4 for a Sunday roast dinner. Ordered food at the same time but unfortunately food was brought out at different times meaning my friend had finished his as I started mine. Does ruin the dining experience. Staff didn’t seem to care too much, no apologies as if this service was the norm. Also not the best roast dinner for the price so can’t say I’ll be in a rush to come back for food. Shame really as this is a nice pub I have been going to for years.

We had a lovely roast here at the weekend. Service was great and food was delicious. The beef was perfectly cooked, gravy was delicious and the cauli cheese was so flavoursome. Great that you can also watch the football in here too!

This bar is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is electric – a perfect blend of cozy and vibrant. They have Asahi on tap, which is a huge win in my book! The music selection is always on point, creating the perfect backdrop for a night out. But what truly sets this place apart is the staff. They are incredibly attentive, friendly, and go above and beyond to make sure you have a fantastic experience. Seriously, best bar I've been to in ages!
