My wife and I had a booking for 3pm but ended up getting there early as we used transport. so we got there for 2:10pm. the lady at the wait in desk to be shown to your table. got us in early so we was very grateful as we would have got a drink at the bar . When we sat down they asked us what drinks we would like and they bring them to your table. You then go up to the kitchen and select what meat you want . They had about 5 choices to choose from. They will put the meat on and the Yorkshire puddings the rest you help yourself to . They do large or Small . Price for the meal was just over 16.00 pound . The service there was great and we didn't have to wait long .All the staff was friendly and welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. Make sure you book a reservation as me and my wife was just going to turn up and we are glad we didn't as it gets very busy. But our first time visit run smoothly. Thanks to the running of the place so well done to all the staff for a lovely Sunday day out. At the end you just ask to pay the bill and they will bring you the card machine. DON'T FORGET TO TIP THE HARD - WORKING STAFF And do it with a smile . And till next time
We had such a lovely experience at Toby Carvery today. Our server, Joy, was absolutely wonderful – friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we arrived. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us without being intrusive. Her positive attitude really made a difference to our visit. The carvery was just as impressive thanks to Mark, who served us with a smile and generous portions! The meat was perfectly cooked, and he took the time to make sure we were happy with our choices.
We very much enjoyed the food. But we’ll be back because of the amazing team specifically Olivia & Mackensie. I had a lot of stomach problems & was walked through all the food. They recommended I start with a small amount of food, see how I went & then kindly gave me boxes to take home what I couldn’t eat. They could not have been kinder, friendlier or more compassionate. I felt genuinely cared about as a human. Your restaurant is very lucky to have them.
Went for lunch today. Server behind the bar started off okish then couldnt scan my code for 1 free meal. I said no worries and paid 2 meal a beer and a refil. Then when speaking to finnish the order her mates came in barely finished speaking to us. Went get food. I know.theres a cost of living crisis but 1 very small thin slice of meat. Not even a full slice 1 of turkey one gammon. Gravy very watery. Service and food at this one has definitely gone down hill. Won't be returning which is a shame
Toby Chadderton is my local pub restaurant and I enjoy the carvery every time I came. I found the server called Joy is really a good waitress. Her service is very good and the food there is really good quality and good portion. The service is good and the food is good, so what are you waiting for? Go there and try it.
