The Colliers Arms is a popular venue for watching live football, featuring large screens and coverage of major matches on Sky and BT Sports. It's situated in Chadderton, close to South Chadderton Metrolink station, making it accessible for fans traveling to and from matches. The pub offers a variety of drinks and hosts regular events, creating a lively atmosphere for both home and away supporters. However, it's important to note that during certain periods, such as the 2024–25 season, the pub may restrict access to home supporters only, as indicated by local fan discussions. Therefore, it's advisable to check current policies before planning a visit.
This pub is running a scam. They have a car park which has signs in it saying customer only parking, which is fine. However, there is then very limited signage stating that the car park has cameras and that you need to give your registration to a staff member. This should be explicitly stated within the car park and not just in the small print of the signage. I recieved a letter stating that I owed a £100 car parking fine after a 65 minute visit. As I was a customer I appealed and sent the company dealing with this a copy of my bank statement. I then got a response basically saying that it was signposted sufficiently and that it was my fault I missed it. Well, Google Maps Street View says otherwise as I cannot see anything on here saying I have to give them my reg... As I was a customer the fine was reduced to £20, however if I appealed it the fine would go back to £100. This is extortion and blackmail so that they (whether this is the pub or the car parking mafia they use) can fleece you of your money. Do not recommend this venue.
What an amazing pub! It’s full of locals from the area and everyone seems to be like a family in there! The bar staff are amazing and very respectful! Even if you are new to the colliers you will feel like you’ve been there years with how all the bar staff and local punters are!! Would recommend anyone in the area to go in!!
Love this pub!!!! Great atmosphere, everyone is so welcoming and friendly!!! Brilliant beer garden, perfect for the sunny days!! The live entertainment is so much fun, especially the cowboy night, they even have karaoke every saturday!! Thank you to the landlord Pat, for an amazing experience!
Smashing little pub with huge outdoor seating and play area for the kids... A must for them hot summer days 🌞🌞 Great hospitality from Jonn'o (manager) The pub as you can see from the photos is bright, clean and inviting and offers pool, Darts, live sports and additionally live bands and Karaoke 🎶🎵🎤 Very charitable locals judging by the huge donation to Dr Kershaw's Hospice (Well done to all those Guys and Gals who took part) 😎
I visited this bar with a friend couple of months ago, we ordered two rounds of drinks (4 cocktails in total). When we hadn’t placed another order for a while, the manager sent a staff member. She came over and rudely accused us of not ordering anything and just "sitting here using the heater." She said, “Do you want me to check the cameras? You guys are just sitting here, not ordering anything, and using the heater.” at this point she was extremely rude and loud. She also mentioned that they had turned off the heater from the main source for us, implying we were taking advantage as non-paying customers. We showed her our bank statement as proof of payment, but she was initially dismissive and didn’t seem to believe us. Frustrated, I tried to speak to the owner to resolve the issue. However, he was unhelpful, telling us he was "busy" and didn’t attempt to engage with us or address our concerns. It felt like we were completely brushed off. This whole experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Wanted to formally complain but they don't deserve my energy. The way we were treated by both the staff member and the owner was completely unacceptable. althought I live 5 mins walk away from this place, I won’t be returning, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend this place to others.
