We went to the angel Inn, to watch Sam Hewitt preform on 21/03/2026. It was our first time visiting the angel and I can honestly say that the atmosphere, and entertainment was great. Genuinely nice, and welcoming staff. We will definitely be visiting again ππ
Very nice traditional pub. Friendly and a good advert for Royton hospitality. Had a quiz night on with a full 6 FREE PINTS as a prize. I went in as a damsel in distress (sort of) having broken down nearby and forgotten my phone. Isobel, the beautiful golden haired bar angel after whom the establishment must be named, was understanding and beyond helpful. She allowed me to check local garages, offered local advice and finally ordered me a cab back home. Made a rubbish day into a fun one. Bless her.
Personally not my favourite pub. Like death waiting room. Unsure if they serve food

An increasingly rare example of a traditional local pub serving top quality beer in a welcoming friendly atmosphere. Always someone to talk to, with regulars of all backgrounds and ages. With a pool table and 4 dart boards the Angel hosts both a men's and ladies dart team, there is even a pigeon fanciers club! Great place to watch football on Sky with lots of friendly and good natured banter between the Reds and Blues. Excellent quiz night on Sundays and lots of live entertainment through the week, and even with all this going on you can still enjoy a quiet pint chatting at the bar with friends and your dog :). Probably the best pub of its kind for miles around.
