This is a bit of a greasy spoon restaurant, good enough but not great. They told us to download the app to order, not a great experience to have to download an app just to be able to order dinner. And of course the app wants your email or phone, location, etc… no thank you! We just went for dinner, not to give up our personal information. The app also wanted a tip and started at 10% and went up from there, I hadn’t even order yet so how can I tip for service I haven’t received yet. And tip for what? The opportunity to download an app to give up my personal details? Anyway, once we got past that the place was okay, the food was a 5 out of 10, fairly quick, okay if you need a place to go I guess. Definitely not somewhere I would recommend or rave about.
Absolutely great food and service, good checks with allergies. Staff lovely, nothing is too much trouble. Just deciding when we are returning. Hopefully Kayden will be serving us again, 5 stars on his own ⭐ We have been back, all 7 of us and again, 5 stars, everyone enjoyed themselves. Busy than the first time, but no delays, Keep up the good work everyone, and no, Kayden wasn't there 😞😂👍
Came here on the 27/1/2026 Was a touch early and the lady informed us she would be open in five minutes. Had a warm friendly welcome Ordered via the app and the food was phenomenal. I had mac and cheese with a side of cheesy chips. My mum had lasagna with chips. We had lattes as well Ten / ten meal and service Started to get busy as we were leaving but the vibes stayed the same it was peaceful and well spaced and the bathrooms were clean !
Today we were looking for somewhere to eat. Put in pubs and google show this pub. We arrived to find a quaint little pub, sat down and on the menu was Sunday roast section, I saw traditional beef with Yorkshire pud. It's been awhile since I had a good one in a pub. I must say the best ever Yorkshire pud I've had in years. The whole meal was delicious, the beef melted in your mouth , crispy potatoes. Services was on point, friendly ,helpful. History of the area on the walls aswell, which visiting from Australia we found interesting.
Excellent food, great service, and being dog friendly makes this pub a great place to visit. I had an XL mixed grill and the Mrs had something else (we can't remember 😂). Both were absolutely delicious. The Lilly Cider is also a lovely tipple. Wish this place was closer to home. Well worth the visit.
