Great views as by the river. Only let down was the food. Husband had mixed grill and the steak wasn't even the size of a burger. Also no spoons or napkins available and cutlery was grubby.
I've just attended a Christmas wreath making class with Darcei. It was fantastic, we had prosecco on arrival and all the materials were provided. Darcei talked us through what we had to do to achieve a wreath Lovely atmosphere, all staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Please put this activity on next year, i will definitely attend! We have just had a delicious meal at The Hanbury Arms, with a slightly nervous rescue dog, and it was enjoyed immensely! Very dog friendly, the food was all scrumptious- I particularly recommend the chicken burger- and staff very cheerful. The service was really prompt, hardly any wait time and everything was an incredibly reasonable price. Our dog hasn't been in many of these situations but because it was full of regulars with dogs, and she was left alone, it went very smoothly. We will definitely be back!
A warm welcome after a busy day was found at The Hanbury Arms. Darcei was attentive from start to finish with taking drinks and food orders, bringing our meals and checking we were all okay with the service. She is a credit. The food came out promptly with fantastic portions.
Popped by for lunch today while attending the Caerleon Arts Fest and the team couldn't have been more welcoming, attentive and polite - especially Darcei! Nothing was too much bother & what a wonderful smile! Oh the food was delicious too! My partner had the Steak and Ale Pie and I had a very yummy Hunters Chicken Melt with chips.
