📍 2.2 miles from JobServe Community Stadium
Centrally located at 66 North Hill just off the High Street, The Centurion is set up for matchdays: it shows live sport and lists fixtures, with Sky Sports and TNT Sports on HD screens, and you can even book seats specifically for games. The pub explicitly welcomes both home and away fans. Food is served through the afternoon and evening, useful for pre- or post-match meals, and there’s a solid choice of well-known pints (e.g., Asahi, Madrí, Pravha, Thatchers) often seen on the taps here. All of this makes it a convenient, neutral town-centre base to meet, eat and watch early/late kick-offs before heading to or from the stadium.
Stopped in here early on Tuesday evening for a meal prior to heading to a show around the corner at the Arts Centre. I remember this place back when it used to be the Irish pub O'Neills, which I always enjoyed coming to with my family back in the late 00s. Thankfully it's not very far removed from then as it's still a good place to stop for a meal, good selection of dishes available. I had the burger and drink meal deal which was lovely and a very reasonable price. It was easy to order and pay via the QR code on my table number. I know they show football on the big screens here - in fact I was leaving to go to my show when a match was starting - so I can't comment too much on that other than to say that they have that available for those who are interested.
Had a lovely bottomless brunch, our server Nicole was amazing! Food was good and we stayed to watch the football afterwards, atmosphere was nice and relaxed, good view of the tv and pub is looking tidy after its refurb! Will definitely be back!
Visited with family. Staff was very helpfull considering we needed wheelchair acess, food was great, a bit expensive but well worth it. The cocktails however the 2 for 1 ... dont get fooled are two of the same not pick and choose. Overall we had a great experience.
We had our friend's birthday party, with bottomless brunch, in centurion pub, we had amazing service from Gabby, who was friendly and lovely young lady. Thank you for making this day more special for us.
Did the bottomless brunch and our waitress was excellent, we were never short of a refill. The food was also great. Only let down was the football lads beside us, no slight against the pub.
