Came for a Sunday roast with two of my friends and it was so so good. Had the pork belly, Yorkshire was huge and gravy was delish. We were served by Ella who was super friendly and welcoming :)) would defo recommend and will be back to try more of the menu
Best Sunday roast I’ve had in a very long time. Gorgeous pork belly, amazing roasties, perfectly cooked veggies. And the vegan girlfriend loved her vegan Wellie. Service was laid back, very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Very difficult to find fault with anything. Just sad that we live in Yorkshire but very glad we found you on our weekend away 😍
A Sunday Roast can be nice, enjoyable or GREAT! And guess what? That was exactly what I experienced at The Whitmore Tap op Sunday 28 September, 2025. Well-humoured because of the fine weather and a long walk from Ashton Court Estate, the staff welcomed me and led me to a table at the windows. Some Padrón peppers and a pint of Tall Tales for starters, a (beef) roast and another pint as main course, and an affogato and cookies to finish a delightful time at The Whitmore Tap. Quality you can afford, as you’d get a discount as a Butcombe Loyalty Club member. Warmly recommended!
walked in on a sunday looking for a roast and honestly had one of the nicest roasts. i ordered an extra side of potatoes cause they were sooo good and the waiter was so so lovely:)
Booked the upstairs room for my son's 15th birthday, every part of the process was brilliant. Excellent communication from booking, they let us know about specials and new additions the menu (namely the lamb shank sharer) they set the room up with a happy birthday banner, all ready to go when we arrived. All servers were friendly & not overbearing. Everyone enjoyed their meals, great drinks selection. The lamb sharer was sensational, meat fell off the bone, lovely cauli cheese. Took excellent care of our littlest guest after he had a little accident and was quickly appeased with ice cream (winning!) will definitely be coming back. Thanks so much for a brilliant afternoon
