Shows Sky Sports, so you can catch televised fixtures. Food is served daily, with an in-house Detroit-style pizza kitchen (SLAB) for quick pre- or post-match meals. Saturday opening from noon and proximity to city bus routes (21/21A/5/34) make it practical for getting to and from games.
What a great lovely little pub the offers ales and lagers you won't find elsewhere. Almost has a country traditional vibe with a twist, the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, I could have spent the rest of the day sitting on the sofa. I highly recommend the pizza it's the bomb and reasonably priced between two people. Will definitely be back for more.
Absolutely perfect in every way The food was delicious and really fresh. We went on a Sunday so had a roast beef, they let me have a kids portion too which was great. Really tasty red cabbage , fresh veg and really good quality meet. It's really pretty and a relaxed atmosphere. We loved it Staff were super helpful too. Thank you so much We'll be back
Just walking by and stopped in for a drink. Ales and Sunday roast was fabulous. Large screen sport on TV. Outside seating under cover with heater. Pub quizz twice per month. Staff are friendly and helpful.
When entering the pub we went to the bar and we did not recieve a warm welcoming from the bartender, she was rude and unattentive. On top of this she was huffing and puffing and made little to no eye contact when taking our order. We ordered our food (beef deep pan pizza, fries and chicken tenders) after a few short hours of eating the chicken tenders I realised that I had severe food poisoning. I was up all night and all day long throwing up every 5 minutes to an hour. So not only was the service terrible but the food gave me food poisoning. This in turn caused me to miss my dear aunties funeral which we had travelled six hours to Plymouth for. I do not recommend this place. Although I must say when ordering the second drink I was served by this nice lady who had brown curly hair. The First Lady we were served by should take notes from her coworker (curly haired girl) and learn manners and etiquette.
I know the chefs personally, they are nice always up for a chat plus they are a good laugh. The front of house staff is always happy & chatty. The food is on point,
