Food was honestly sensational, portion was perfect (if not more) the steak was honestly best steak I’ve ever had! The service was great. Chef came in to check a lot, spoke about the food, really friendly! Atmosphere (V’day) decorations were lovely and thoughtful! One of our best nights out with our the kids x
New management is really good with customers, loved the white tablecloths on Steak night. The meat was indeed fantastic. Lovely touch for my son. And yummy desserts!
The booking link in the Google listing is NOT for The Woolpack. It's for a food service which used to be here but has since moved on. We were welcomed and taken to the restaurant round the back. It's a bit tight in there at times and not wheelchair friendly. We ordered a couple of Sunday roasts, which were brought through promptly and hot. It tasted great! However, it then felt like we were forgotten about. Another couple came through but didn't receive prompt service. When we'd finished eating, we hadn't seen anyone for quite some time. I had to knock on a door and ask for service, which then still took some time from that point. Ourselves and the other couple wanted deserts, but we passed on that as we didn't know when or if we'd receive them as promptly as our main. We then paid at the bar back round the front as we didn't want to dine and dash, but didn't know if they'd come for payment quickly. Overall, great food but poor service on a quiet Sunday lunchtime.
Had such a lovely afternoon today (7/12/25). Amazing roast chicken sharing platter...enough for everyone & some left which they kindly let me bring home for my elderly Mum. Lovely interaction with the young lady who waited on us ( sorry I forgot your name) and chef Adam who came to talk to us. The barn looks lovely...well done. An after drink in the main bar which was really Christmassy & chilled. Saw some old faces from the past. Really lovely, thankyou all so much. We'll be back.
My family held a private party here last night for my brother's 30th birthday and we had the most amazing time! The entire experience of having a family celebration was taken to another level at this restaurant! Not only was the food absolutely delicious but the staff were brilliant and accommodating in every way possible! we would like to thank Dave, Karen, Andy and all the rest of the staff in the restaurant for making our evening perfectly hassle free and extremely enjoyable! Most of our event was enjoyed outside in the beer garden which was set up beautifully for us and carried a great vibe till late night. Once the sun set, ambient lighting from the fontoons created the most warmest atmosphere for all to sit around, drink and chat till the party went on! The service from all staff members was fantastic and did not fail to please us with their willing attitude throughout the night! If you're ever looking for the right venue for a celebration with friends/family whether you want a cosy intimate meal with delicious Thai food or have an outdoor bash with chilled summer vibes then The Woolpack & Tast of Thailand is the perfect place in Peterborough! Highly recommended!
