Had a quick drink here at the end of a day's travelling and sightseeing and it was perfect. Great for a summers evening - there were fairy lights, music, and good drinks. Lots of food options too, but we didn't eat.
I was there Saturday it was busy butt if they had a decent staff this won't happen wasn't even that busy and more that enough people working thing is they are chatting with costumers special a skiny Asian lad who was having a laugh with my patience I was 25min waiting to get to the 1st raw when I get there this guy and their colleagues pretended I was no one i ended up leaving...horrible place and noisy music disgusting toilets and service ...staff is selective with costumers and unprofessional...most of them dont have a clue what they doing they can't even pour a pint properly. ...
Absolute belter of a place, especially when the sun is shining! By far the best beer garden I've been to.
I loved this place. The old school music from the late 70s was excellent. The Ramones, The UK Subs, The Clash. The bar downstairs in the hull was a treat, and the Guinness was spot on. The young man who served us was friendly and chatty with good banter, an absolute joy. The seating area outside was huge, I was gutted there was no live music on the night we were there. I wish we had one of these moored on the River Tees back in Boro.
After 25 years it’s time for a review. Amazing food and restaurant, unique, delicate food. Never disappoints. Same staff after all this time. What a great restaurant on a barge of all places.
