The Brown Cow is a popular pre-match venue for both home and away supporters, located approximately a 10-minute walk from the One Call Stadium. It offers a comfortable setting with a range of cask ales, lagers, and hearty food. The pub has been recognized in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide for its selection of up to 12 real ales and has won local awards, including 'Pub of the Year' for Nottinghamshire in 2017. It also hosts live music events, enhancing the matchday atmosphere. While not officially designated for away fans, it is known to be welcoming to all supporters, making it a suitable choice for both home and away fans seeking a relaxed pre-match pint.
10 real ales. And a good variety. Local institution. Two distinct different sides. The larger side splits into multi level seating. A TV for the rugby. Good efficient staff. Very welcoming to a visitor. Slightly out of the town centre but a nice walk. Beer that I had was excellently kept. Must be a CAMRA award winner. Plenty of seating a great choice when the Stags are at home. A solid 5 stars
Great visit to The Brown Cow in Mansfield. Having recently received the Mansfield & Ashfield CAMRA branch Pub of The Year, I decided to visit the venue yesterday afternoon. Great range of cask ales including Everards Tiger which is old favorite of mine. Quite busy, however thats no surprising with quality and condition of the beers served. Staff were very friendly and I will certainly make a point of visiting again in the summer.
Awesome place for a drink or dine. Super cool atmosphere. The range of beers is brilliant. There is something for everyone from good range of cider, ale, ginto spirits etc. Spacious and quiet bar without load music which trigering you to have a good chat with friends in friendly atmosphere. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Toilets are very clean and I like the idea the way they used beer Keg in urinals. Anyhow It's one of a place I can recommend.
Best pub in Mansfield!!!!! Especially for real ales and craft beers. Always a nice, warm welcome upon entering and also is very dog friendly. Has a good selection of everything, to spirits, wines and ciders. Doesn't do food but has a wide range of bar snacks. Nuts, crisps, scratchings etc. Live music most weekends and a Sunday Social every sunday from 7pm. A quiz every Wednesday from 8.30pm. They have the 'Cow Shed' upstairs which is available to hire out for birthday's, baby showers, small wedding receptions etc.. All in all, a fantastic pub, with a friendly and unique setting to cater everyone. Get yourself down for a pint 🍺🐮
I have no bad things to say about this pub, I absolutely love coming here, the staff are always really nice and frienfly, also they're very knowledgeable when it comes to the real ales that are on sale. Even though they dont sell food there is an excellent range of snacks available and doggo's are welcome.
