The Royal William IV is a popular pre- and post-match venue for both home and away supporters, located approximately 0.7 miles from Lincoln City's LNER Stadium. It offers a welcoming atmosphere with a large outdoor seating area along the scenic Brayford Waterfront, ideal for matchday gatherings. It also features a selection of real ales and craft beers, such as Taylor's Landlord and Vocation Chop & Change. While there is no explicit mention of live football screenings, its proximity to the stadium and popularity among fans make it a convenient choice for matchday dining and drinks.
Great place to eat and drink socially. Service was excellent as were the staff we interacted with, great knowledge of what was available to drink on tap. However my meal was not as expected. I ordered the Lambs liver and bacon with mash, peppercorn sauce and market vegetables. My meal arrived with a good portion of liver, lovely mash and great peppercorn sauce however the bacon was just 1/2 a rasher of streaky bacon - lovely as it was it hardly amounts to liver and bacon. Also the market vegetables consisted solely as a portion of cabbage.
Good pub with a nice friendly atmosphere and really nice staff. Great outside seating area with lovely views over the river. We only had drinks so I can't comment on food but from what I saw of other customers tables it looked fine.
2 of us had a late meal at Royal William on a cold January night. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. We got our order in just before the kitchen closed. My crispy pork was excellent and the portion was generous. I underestimated the power of the cheese sauce (my bad). For anyone ordering this dish, consider if you want the cheese sauce or not.
A pleasant enough pub on the junction of the wharf. Staff were polite and courteous, with really good service. The food was well cooked and presented. Decent selection of drinks are available.
Popped into the Royal William IV for lunch and was really impressed. It’s got that classic, cozy pub atmosphere. The menu is exactly what you want from a British pub—hearty, unpretentious, and well-cooked. I had the chipotle chicken and the portions were generous. Staff were friendly and the service was quick even though it was a bit busy. Perfect spot for a relaxed bite by the water.
